I was at "The Experience" yesterday. As expected, it was as I expected - hours of glorious praise, worship and prayer. This year's event was a special command performance. It took place at The New Eko Hotel Expo centre, Lagos instead of the usual Tafawa Balewa Square. And though free, the event was ticketed. The usual musicians were present to deliver their usual great performances. Some of the gifted artistes present were Don Moen, Kirk Franklin, Chevelle Franklin, Micah Stampley Sammie Okposo, Timi Dakolo Lara George and Panam Percy Paul. The in-house choir of "The House on the rock", Chosen Treasure delivered songs from their latest CD - I still believe. Some of the ministers that graced the event included Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor (President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Mike and Peace Okonkwo, Bishop John Francis, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Pastor Agu Irukwu, Pastor Sola Fola-Alade, Bishop Simeon Okah. The first ladies of Lagos state and Rivers state were also present at the event. The Adefarasin brothers and their mother, Hilda Adefarasin, were present too.
The Expo Centre was packed full and I must say I enjoyed every minute of it. It started around 6p.m and ended around 3.00a.m.
Kudos to Pastor Paul and Ifeanyi Adefarasin and the House on the rock crew for well co-ordinated event.
