CHRISTIAN mothers, under the aegis of National Confraternity of Christian Mothers (NCCM) of the Catholic Church, Nigeria, plan to launch N500 million female hostel project at the VERITAS University, Abuja.
President of NCCM, Mrs. Sally U. Ukpo and members of the association in a statement yesterday, appealed to good-spirited Nigerians and corporate organisations to donate towards the project.
The statement reads: “The building project is the contribution of the Christian mothers to provide good learning environment for the students with a view to uplifting the standard of education in the institution.
“The body believes that lack of female hostel accommodation in our universities has affected negatively the mental capacity of female students and the general growth of university education in the country”.
