Come October 1, The Platform Nigeria will host a group of important dignitaries who will be speaking on the theme "Nigeria, Our Journey so far: What Next?"
The Platform Nigeria is a global media event powered by Covenant Christian Centre. The vision of this initiative is to stimulate and inspire Nigerians, by facilitating the development of the proper mind-set and right thinking processes through learning sessions that enable optimal utility of opportunities available to them in the Nation.
Notable among the speakers are Judy Smith, an American author, television producer, and crisis manager. She is known as the founder, president, and CEO of the crisis management firm, Smith & Company. Her work in crisis management is the inspiration for the ABC television series Scandal. She will be speaking on the topic: “Leading through Crisis. What every leader should know.”

- Professor Pat Utomi; Prof Utomi is a Nigerian professor of political economy and management expert. He is the founder of Centre for Value in Leadership (CVL) . He is a professor at Lagos Business School. He will be speaking on “Institutions, Culture and Inclusive Private Sector Rapid Growth”
- Bishop Matthew Kukah; Bishop Kukah is an elder statesman who has had several years working within the church and in academia. He is the current Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto in Northern Nigeria. He will be speaking on “Nigeria; Euphoria Hysteria and Dementia: Still a long walk to freedom.”
- Professor Pius Adesanmi; Professor Adesanmi is a professor of literature and African studies at Carlton University Ottawa Canada. He is a prodigious public affairs commentator. He will be speaking on “Hating Nigeria into greatness”
- Segun Adeniyi; a prolific writer who sits on the editorial board of ThisDay newspapers and a former presidential spokesman for the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. He will be speaking on “Where do we go from here?”
- Bolanle Austen-Peters; a respected Nigerian lawyer and businesswoman. She founded the Nigerian arts, education and cultural organisation, Terra Kulture in 2003. Terra Kulture is an educational and recreational organisation set up to promote the richness and diversity of Nigerian Languages, Arts and Culture. She will be speaking on “How the Art and Culture sector accelerates economic growth”
The event will be taking place at The Covenant Place, Iganmu. Time is 9.00a.m. Date is October 1, 2015. The event will be broadcast live on TV and streamed live on the Internet. Details of this will be revealed soon.
