About 250 intending Christian pilgrims in the Federal Capital Territory are expected to be airlifted for the exercise which will commence soon.
The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the National Assembly, Senator Philip Aduda, who spoke during the pre-departure orientation exercise for the 2015 FCT intending Christian pilgrims to the holy land, said the exercise has been a huge success over the years.
He said the FCT contingent has not recorded any case of a pilgrim absconding.
"Why would somebody want to abscond in the FCT when all that he needs is here. Don't forget that the FCT is one of the fastest growing cities where all infrastructures and amenities are put in place for the betterment of the residents," he added.
Also speaking, the Executive Secretary, NCPC, Johnkennedy Opara, assured the pilgrims of the readiness of the commission for the exercise, saying all arrangements have been concluded for their hitch-free trip to the holy land.
He challenged them to be good ambassadors of the country, describing them as the image of the nation to the outside world.
