Unknown armed men kidnap RCCG pastor during service

Kidnappers numbering about 10 stormed a church while in service to abduct the presiding Pastor, Pastor Ayo Raphael. This happened at the Resurrection parish of the RCCG in Kabba junction in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

Eyewitnesses said the abduction happened at 9.a.m and the members of the congregation were ordered to lie down.

An Eyewitness stated that “The pastor was dragged out of the church into the bush while the abductors shot sporadically into the air to facilitate their escape.”

Though no lives were lost, many members of the congregation were said to have sustained injuries while running away for safety as the kidnappers were shooting into the air.

It was gathered that the kidnappers had contacted the church, demanding N50 million before pastor Ayo can be released.
