US Elections: Donald Trump to Speak in a Predominantly Black Church

The Republican Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump who in the last one year has not held any event in the black community, plans to visit a black church in Detroit on Saturday to speak with the President of an African-American owned and operated national Christian Television Network.

Bishop Wayne Jackson, President and Chief Executive of the Impact Network will interview Trump at the Great Faith Ministries. Trump's visit comes as several polls show majority of black support for Hillary Clinton.

Pastor Mark Burns, a Trump supporter, said in a statement that” Mr. Trump will answer questions that are relevant to the African-American community”. “He will give an address to outline policies that will impact minorities and the disenfranchised in our country. Citizens around the country will see, as I’ve have seen, the heart and compassion Mr. Trump has for all Americans, which includes minority communities whose votes have been taken for granted for far too long.”

Mr. Burns also said that Mr. Trump will talk about crime and safety, unemployment issues, educational opportunities and his plans to help black colleges and universities.
