At least 21 people have been reported dead as a bomb blast went off near a Coptic church in the Egyptian city of Tanta, north of Cairo. Initial reports said that they were 13 but this has been updated to 21
The report also say that about 40 people were injured in the blast.
The bomb blast struck just before 10.00a.m. local time (0800 GMT)
In a Twitter post, a spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ahmed Abu Zeid, said, “Terrorism hits Egypt again.”
A suicide bombing happened in 2011 outside a Coptic Christian church killing at least 21 people. This happened in the port city of Alexandria
