With the adoption of the Internet and new technologies, the church has not been left out of this new wave.

Some churches have resorted to making their services available online so that people cannot give any excuse for not attending Church.

Recently an American talk show, "The Talk" debated on this topic - "Do You Need to Physically Be Present to Attend Church?

According to one of the co-hosts, Tamera Mowry-Housely, “Now, thanks to the internet, people can receive God's good book on apps like Facebook which allows you to sit in front of your computer and give praise in your own living room.”

She adds, "However some churchgoers feel that watching a church service online is actually a cop-out and that you need to be physically present in God's house in order for it to count, especially with church attendance low"
