The 51st GMA Dove Awards is drawing close. Its list of performers has also been increased as Nigeria's gospel music star, Sinach is billed to perform on that day.
She will be performing alongside Leeland and Mandisa. Together, they shall perform Waymaker, the megahit song by Sinach.
Performers who have been billed for the show previously are Apollo LTD, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Lecrae, We The Kingdom, Tony Williams, for King and Country, and Jonathan McReynolds.
The event is expected to air on Friday, October 30th, exclusively on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
Leading the artists nomination list are Zach Williams and for KING & COUNTRY with five nominations. Notable among their nominations is 'Artist of the Year'. Also, Kirk Franklin, Hillsong Worship, and Jonathan McReynolds have four nominations.
There is a category for non-artist nomination. Jason Ingram leads that category with eight nominations alongside Jordan Sapp, Ed Cash, and Jordan Sapp with seven nominations each.
Artists who would be nominated for the awards as first-timers are We The Kingdom and Kanye West with three nominations each, Unspoken and Gloria Gaynor with two nominations.
The show is expected to be spiced with many varieties. However, it will be graced with pre-recorded accepted speeches and performances. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sinach's Profile:
Osinachi Joseph (née Kalu), is a songwriter and singer of Nigerian descent. Born on March 30, 1973, Sinach is a senior worship leader at Believers Loveworld popularly known as Christ Embassy. She is notable for songs like Way Maker, Great Are You Lord, Precious Jesus, The Name of Jesus, This Is My Season, Awesome God, and many more. She has been in the industry for the past 26 years. The visuals of Way Maker emerged the third Nigerian video to gather 100 million views on YouTube in March 2019. This was behind Yemi Alade's Johnny and Davido's Fall.
The song which has gathered many recognition over the years has been covered by Bethel Music, Darlene Zschech, Michael W. Smith, Leeland, and Mandisa. Sinach became the first African gospel artist to tour India in September 2019. During her tour, she headlined concerts with several thousands in attendance. Also, she became the first African artist to top the Billboard Christian Songwriters chart in May 2020.
The Ebonyi State indigene is the second daughter of seven children. Her career started as a member of the choir of Christ Embassy. She is a graduate of Physics, University of Port Harcourt. Her first album Chapter One was released in 2008.
For her contributions to gospel music in the previous decade, she was awarded with the LIMA Songwriter of the Decade Award in 2016. It is paramount to note that her songs have been translated to various languages. Also, same year, she was a recipient of African Achievers' Award for Global Excellence. In 2016, she made it to the list of Top 100 Influential Christians in Nigeria by YNaija. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Pastor Enoch Adeboye also made it to the list.
Sinach is well known across Africa and the world beyond. She has performed in more than 50 countries including Zambia, Canada, Jamaica, Kenya, United States, the United Kingdom, Dominica, South Africa, United States, Antigua & Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Uganda, Barbados, The British Virgin Islands, Saint Maarten, and India.
