The 2021 NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Image Awards have announced its nominees for this year’s edition. In the Gospel/Christian category, PJ Morton and Kierra Sheard got two nominations each.
Kierra Sheard got two nominations for her self-titled album, Kierra, and her hit song “Something Has To Break” which featured Tasha Cobbs Leonard. Meanwhile, Kirk Franklin earned a nominated for his hit song “Strong God.”
Already in its 52nd year, other artists that were nominated were Koryn Hawthorne and Marvin Sapp. In the category of Outstanding Gospel/Christian album, Morton’s album, Gospel According to PJ, got a nomination. His hit song, ‘’All in His Plan’’ which featured dynamic vocalist, Le’Andria Johnson and platinum-selling music duo, Mary Mary, also got a nomination in the Outstanding Gospel/Christian song category.
Likewise, the famous Clark Sisters got a nomination for their latest project, The Return. Below is the full list;

On March 27th, 2021, the winners will be announced in a two-hour live television broadcast which will be aired on BET with simulcasts across Viacom-CBS Networks including MTV, MTV2, Her, LOGO, CBS, BET, and VH1.
