America’s music sensation, Kelly Rowland, has shared her faith in Christ with Kirk Franklin on his podcast, Good Words with Kirk Franklin. Rowland told the gospel music star that she believes in God and Jesus. More so, she believes in faith more than she does religion and it is a personal walk for her.
According to The Christian Post, Rowland told Kirk Franklin that her faith has led her and made her the woman she is today. In her words, "It's made me the woman that I am. It's making me the mother that I am. It's continuing to make me the woman that I am. It's teaching me how to be a wife. It's continuously stretching me."
Rowland affirmed that her faith in Jesus is the reason she was not ripped out of the industry.
"I'm so grateful for it because this industry should have chewed me up and spit me out and ripped me apart. And people should have chewed me up and spit me out and ripped me apart. And so many times, I do think that I was close. But faith." she shared.
In addition, Rowland also talked about her personal life where her faith was also tested. The singer said her mom died in 2014, after she had her son. The two events happened in a period of three weeks.
During that time, Rowland said she found comfort with the knowledge that life today is only for a while. She quoted James 4:4 as a scripture that ministered to her about the situation.
Rowland continued, "I cried about it, like not over the loss, but just the fact of how precious people, life and time is. At some point in your life, you do take it for granted, but I don't take it for granted at all."
Kelly Rowland is a member of the celebrated music group, Destiny's Child. Besides, she is an actress who has featured in a few movies over the years.
