Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw is seeking for prayers after he had an emergency eye surgery. Initially, he observed strange black spots in his vision which necessitated him to visit the doctor. The doctor’s report showed that his retina was shifting away from his existing eye.
Crenshaw made a post on Twitter in respect to his present health challenge. He said;
"A few days ago, I noticed some dark, blurry spots in my vision. I went to get this checked out by an ophthalmologist on Thursday, and they discovered that my retina was detaching. This is a terrifying prognosis for someone with one eye and the nature of the injuries I sustained in Afghanistan."
Christian Headlines reported that in order to remedy the situation, an emergency surgery was carried out on Crenshaw. Although the surgery was successful, he still needs to stay out of work for a while. He made a statement to this effect.
"I am sorry to inform everyone that I will be pretty much off the grid for the next few weeks. ... My congressional offices in Washington, D.C. and Houston will continue to operate, and any constituent needing assistance with casework can still call my offices for help. I have gotten through worse before, and I will get through this.’’
Crenshaw is an ex-Nave-Seal who was deployed in Fallujah, Iraq, to be a part of Seal Team Three. He had five deployments overseas. He is known as a pro-military conservative and pro-Veteran, who does not support communism and China taking over the United States.
The congressman lost one of his eyes in an IED blast in Iraq. Initially, he was told he would be totally blind in both eyes. However, he got back his sight in one of his eyes. In 2016, he retired from the SEALS. Afterwards, he became a Congressional Representative.
He concluded his message saying, ‘’A few prayers that my vision will get back to normal and that I will make a full recovery wouldn’t hurt, though, and would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers, and support.’’
