COVID-19: Bishop Oyedepo Suggests Anointing Oil Over Vaccines

             

The President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, has proffered solution to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 40th anniversary thanksgiving of the church on Sunday, May 9, which was monitored by The PUNCH, Oyedepo advised his flock to take anointing oil instead of the COVID-19 vaccine.

 

The preacher stated that he would suggest how to handle the deadly virus without charging a dime. He also instructed his members not to take the ‘’deadly thing’’ called the vaccine in the same breath. In his words,

"Let me warn you against this deadly thing circulated around the country because it has not been duly tested. An elder of this church, who works with the World Health Organisation, confirmed this, thanking me for always speaking the truth about the authenticity of the COVID-19 vaccine."

Besides, he spoke against the vaccinators that went to churches. He said that the church is anti-COVID-19 zone. Hence, that act was an ‘’insult’’ to the church. 

Likewise, he stated that nobody has the right to enforce the vaccine on his flock. Neither does anyone has the right to end any job opportunity because of refusal to take the vaccine. More so, he advised his members not to accept any form of harassment into taking the vaccine against their wish.

The renowned cleric also said that the side effects of taking the vaccine are more than its benefits. 

He said, "They wanted Africa dead. I heard them say it. When we didn't die as they proposed, they brought out this vaccination scheme. You need to hear their proclamation that Africa will lack spaces to bury corpses. But, today, the reverse is the case. Africa has the least casualty among all the other continents of the world."

Although many of his church members did not obey the COVI-19 safety measures of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing, Oyedepo said that the foreigners who came to the 40th anniversary program have all gone back safely to their destinations. Hence, the anointing oil was efficient in healing those with the virus.
