The winners for the 2021 Gospel Music Dove Awards have been announced. In a ceremony held last Tuesday at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena, USA, the event had a good turnout of accomplished and up-and-coming gospel singers. This would be the 52nd edition since the event began in 1969.
CeCe Winans added to her bag of awards as she won four Dove awards. Jason Ingram also won four awards. Music duo, for King & Country won three awards. Chris Brown of Elevation Worship and Steven Furtick won three awards, including Song of the Year for “The Blessing.” Maverick City Music won New Artist of the Year.
This year, the Dove Awards got over 4,600 submitted entries. The hosts were gospel singers, Natalie Grant and Jonathan McReynolds and Natalie Grant. Those that performed during the ceremony include Lauren Daigle, Elevation Worship, CeCe Winans, Maverick City Music, and more.
