Award-winning gospel singer, Chris Tomlin, and music band Hillsong UNITED, are set for their tour in 2022 tagged, ‘’Tomlin UNITED Tour: Magnify the name of Jesus.’’ In an interview with the Christian Post, Tomlin said it is the perfect time to organize the tour since the lockdown.
"For me, what is so important to remember is that music is God's idea. ... Isn't that beautiful? God gave us not only a way to worship Him but also to connect and communicate with Him through music. Worship is different from any other concert. It's your soul connecting to God. It's eternal and an opportunity to join in everlasting praise," Tomlin said.
The tour will be held for 33 days in the United States and it will kick-start on February 9, 2022, at the Greensboro Coliseum. Other cities where the live worship experience will hold are Miami, Dallas, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Georgia. The tour would end on April 13.
While speaking on the forthcoming tour, Jonathon Douglass of Hillsong UNITED, said, "We really believe this tour is going to be an experience unlike any other. We've wanted to do this for a long time and we have a real sense of trust in the fact that this is the right time. We want these nights to be about hope, the living hope, and for people to leave with a little more of it than they came in with. Music has the power to touch people in this way, and I'm excited for that."
Since the pandemic, this will be the first time the artists will be coming together to gather for an event. Tomlin is known for songs like "How Great is Our God" and "Good Good Father." UNITED, the band created from a youth ministry out of Hillsong Church in Australia, are known for their songs, "Oceans" and "Lead Me to the Cross."
Tickets for the Tomlin UNITED Tour will be available for sale from October 22, 2021.
