Earlier this week, Hollywood filmmaker and preacher DeVon Franklin and his wife, actress Meagan Good, announced that they are filing for divorce after nine years of being married. They made this revelation on their Instagram pages. Their posts were identical as they also shared a picture of them together.
"After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected. We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault. We believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.
"We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we've spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other," Franklin and Good said in the joint statement.
The couple met while working on the film “Jumping the Broom” in 2011. They got engaged in May 2012 after courting for a year and a month after, they got married.
Franklin is notable for producing faith-based movies including Breakthrough (2019), Miracles from Heaven (2016), Heaven is for Real (2014). He is also the author of two best-selling books, Produced By Faith and The Wait, which he co-wrote with his wife. In 2017, he released his book, Hollywood Commandments: A Spiritual Guide to Secular Success.
