Former United States press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany has spoken on God’s faithfulness upon her life as she recounted her stay in office. McEnany, who is set to release a new book, ‘’For Such a Time as This: My Faith Journey through the White House and Beyond,’’ spoke about her experience at the White House.
In an interview with CBN News, the former press secretary said, "I was in one piece in God's much bigger puzzle, and that's God's plan for all of us. (There was a time) I was supposed to take to the podium at 2 pm, but rather than walking to the podium, I'm in my office crying out of such nerves. I went to the West Wing bathroom and got on my knees and prayed.
"It was the last thing I did before I walked to the podium. My team would stand around the press secretary's office, sometimes we'd have the fireplace burning in the background, and we would say a prayer, and then I would walk off to the podium. I can tell you that was indispensable."
McEnany also spoke about the Trump administration, the challenges she faced and how God helped to serve in the office. She admitted that God can use anyone the same way he used her for public service.
She continued, "I was brought to this position by Christ for such a time as this. I didn't make it there on my own. I want anyone reading this to know you are where you are in a place, in a time, in a circumstance, in your body, for such a time as this for a reason and a purpose – and if you ask Christ to guide you, He will take you to show you that plan He has for your life just like He did for me."
On December 7, McEnany's book will be released.
