The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that he is positive that there will be an improvement in the lives of Nigerians and they will have a reason to be happy.
The cleric made this statement during the December Special Thanksgiving and Prayer organised by RCCG headquarters, Throne of Grace, Ebute-metta, Lagos. He was represented by the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, who is also the Continental Overseer, East Africa.
Adeboye said that there will be songs of victory after the siege of insecurity and bad economy that the country is facing is over. According to The Nation, Adeboye said, “Politicians are after their own. They enjoy free food with government money and they do not spend their own money. The siege is over to be followed by songs of victory. Anyone who stands in the way of the prophecy will have himself or herself to blame because God is ready to take Nigeria to the next level.”
It will be recalled that Adeboye has spoken often about the state of the nation. Although the 2023 elections is about two years away, the preacher wondered why politicians have began plans for the elections already.
He noted that the future belonged to God and cannot be confirmed by anyone yet. Hence, it is not proper for another to declare his or her ambition to rule the country when the person is not certain about tomorrow.
