Christian Broadcasting Network's Orphan's Promise is working alongside Zarqa Baptist Church in Jordan to give educational opportunities for Syrian refugee children. Many Syrian refugees in Jordan are living in harsh conditions with little hope for what tomorrow holds for them. The refugees number almost 650,000.
Majority of the population are made up of women and children who have limited access to education. Consequently, these children litter the streets in search of their daily bread.
Orphan's Promise is aimed at ensuring that these children have an opportunity to have better lives. 96 children have been enrolled in weekly classes so far and they get nutritious meals while learning.
Over the years, Orphan's Promise has also teemed up with Heart for Lebanon, a ministry that aims to reach and educate Syrian refugee children. The focus is on giving education and other forms of assistance to children who are either orphans or have lost a parent.
