Renowned preacher and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BEGA), Franklin Graham, has asked Christians to pray for peace after he returned from Ukraine where he spent two days.
Graham met with the Samaritan’s Purse team which has been on ground in the nation providing relief materials to those affected by Russia’s invasion in the country.
The evangelist visited medical professionals serving at the Emergency Field Hospital, a humanitarian arm of his ministry. The hospital is equipped with an operating room for surgeries.
Also, Graham spoke with doctors, nurses, lab technicians, and many others at the hospitals. He also visited local church leaders while he was in Lviv, Ukraine.
Graham said, "This is dangerous work, but our team is committed to helping the people of Ukraine. We want them to know that God loves them and we're here to care for them.
“There are many needs on the ground, but the greatest need is prayer. We need to continue to pray that God would work in the hearts of leaders to end the fighting."
Samaritan's Purse has assisted over 2,400 patients in Ukraine since it came to the country earlier this month. Likewise, they have helped over 100 patients daily.
