Popular gospel singer, Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu has passed on. According to reports, she died on Friday after being on life support for the past two months. She was known for her wave-making song, Ekweme.
She had a gifted voice which she used to minister to souls and touch lives. Her style of worship was unique as she sang to the admiration of her audience. The news of her death went viral on Friday night and many were shocked to hear that the once vibrant singer is no more with the mortals.
In her lifetime, she was featured in some songs including “Ekwueme” by Prospa Ochimana, “You no dey use me play” by Emma, and “Nara Ekele” by Dr Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Abuja.
Reactions have trailed the passing of the gospel singer. Desmond Chuks wrote, "God has taken away one of His own again. The rate at which innocent children of God are dying recently calls for reflection by the living. Really, evil is much prevailing on earth and God is rapidly removing His saints from the world. Father please look at me and mine with the eyes of your mercy, I pray."
Itiola Kehinde said, "What a great loss to the world and a great gain to heaven. May her soul continue to rest with her creator. So painful indeed."
Joshua Momoh commented, "May her soul rest in peace, the world has lost a saint. God knows best."
Chinasa Jessy said, "God is taking those who showers his praises on earth so they can continue their sweet melody in heaven. Chinedu Nwadike and Osinachi go well."
Oba Michael said, "May her memories be a blessing to her family and the faithful globally."
Arawa Kennedy Ojochegbe said, "Very painful but who are we to question God on this matter. Rest in peace ma."
