The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, led a prayer walk alongside other ministers at the Redemption Camp, Ogun State on Friday, August 5, 2022.
The revered cleric posted on his social media pages, “Thank you Jesus for the prayer walk held this morning at the ministers’ conference. You can still connect by sending in your prayer requests and making it down to the Redemption Camp this season. God bless you.”
The church is having a countdown to its 70th anniversary. Over the years, the church has made an impact in diverse ways. Asides supporting the growth of its members, it has also been active in its corporate social responsibility.
Recently, the church inaugurated a library at Sogunle Primary School in Ikeja, Lagos. Living Seed Church (The Bridge), a parish under RCCG Youth Province 1, in collaboration with Dare Adeboye Foundation, donated the library.
The building was inaugurated on June 29, 2022 by Leke Adeboye, who is the Assistant Pastor in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility, RCCG Youth Province 1, and the lead pastor of RCCG, The Bridge.
During the inauguration, Leke spoke on the need for education. He said, “Education is the most important thing. Even Jesus came to educate the 12 disciples so that they can educate the rest of the world. When you educate a child, you have equipped them for life.”
Daddy G.O, as Adeboye is fondly called, spoke on the meaning of jubilee as the church is set to mark its 70th anniversary.
He said in a recent post, “Perfect jubilee. Jubilee is a combination of two things; restoration and a new beginning. In a jubilee, you are given an opportunity to start afresh.
“To start the year of jubilee, you blow a trumpet. A trumpet is blown when a war ends. A trumpet is blown to praise God. Psalm 103:1-5.”
