Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi of the Love of Christ Generation Church, Cherubim and Seraphim, Lagos is set to celebrate 15 years of divine ministration.
It will be recalled that on September 5, 2021, the Lagos centre of the church was inaugurated and consecrated by the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye and other clerics in attendance. On September 12, 2021, the church held its first congregational service.
On September 4, 2022, the church will be celebrating its first anniversary. The church will be having a week-long double celebration which will be marked by several activities.
As a child, Iya Adura, as she is mostly called, began her spiritual journey. However, she gave her life to Christ at the Faith Bible College in Ota, Ogun State in 1993.
In 2007, Love of Christ Generation Church (Cherubim and Seraphim) was formed through an inspiration from a revelation Ajayi had in Edmonton, London.
The gathering of that day had 18 persons in attendance but the church currently has a total number of 10, 000 members both in Lagos and London.
Under Ajayi's leadership, there has been an increase in the growth of the church. They have had new converts who desire a better relationship with God.
The spiritual leader is a philanthropist who has made impact in the lives of many persons through her foundation which focuses on humanitarian works.
Esther Ajayi Foundation is a grand matron to several charity organizations. In 2021, the foundation gave out N500,000 to 10 traders. More so, it has supported many non-governmental organizations in areas across Africa.
Among her notable works is the new office of the Special Protection Unit, Base 2 Lagos of the Nigerian Police, which she built and commissioned in 2020.
