Ibrahim and Linda drew the curtain on season one with a Q&A that was prompted by their producer. It was quite refreshing how they managed to refrain from the use of unsavoury words in response to some characters in several scenarios. However, they did not hold back to show anger, frustration and other related emotions as they gave their personal opinions. Yes, it did get heated at some point and they used deliberate measures to get their calm back!
The questions shared demonstrated
a high level of openness by those that sent them in. There were issues
previously considered sacrosanct aired openly. Men dived into the fray as they
sought answers on feeling left out and
ignored at the arrival of their eagerly anticipated child, couples being unduly
pressured to get pregnant by parents, spouses choosing to overturn premarital
agreement on children…the list goes on.
On her IG page Linda summarized the
three months in a gratitude post. “Thank you all for hanging out with us for
the past 3 months. When we started @dueparentingpod we didn’t know what to
expect. Certainly not this level of love. We are eternally grateful to all of
you who have watched, listened, commented, subscribed or shared our podcast. We
do not take it for granted. We wanted to have honest conversation about
parenting and we are happy that it resonates with a lot of people. A huge
shoutout to all our guests, thank you for honouring our invitation and for
being so honest.”
Ibrahim was also grateful for the
first season and also shared his thoughts. “So we have had an amazing time
over the last 3 months, getting feedback and building this awesome community
with you beautiful people. We have arrived at the season finale of our “guinea
pig” season of The Due Parenting Podcast and we cannot thank you enough for
giving us the liberty to be open and honest about our journey so far. We also
learned sooo much from our superb guests!”
We’re glad that Ibrahim and Linda
finally took the bull by the horns and started this channel. The fun and
satisfaction we’ve derived from listening and watching them has been real. We
know that it doesn’t measure up to the joy they’ve derived from the journey of
each episode and all they’ve amassed from this experience. Season two will no
doubt be better, richer and much more interesting…we can’t wait!
Go over to their channel to
listen and watch season one and also share far and near.
