The spontaneous sessions that George Ade-Alao hosts has produced songs that have no doubt brought joy to many and enhanced their personal time of worship. These previously unrehearsed songs that worshippers find themselves singing for the fist time have been an immense blessing. They show the diversity, beauty and creativity that the Almighty possesses.
One song that has me in my
feelings is Joy. This song gives me that airy feeling that all is right with
the world and makes things so much better just by listening to it. All three
minutes is not enough because you’ll find yourself hitting that replay button
repeatedly. Did I forget to mention that Sinmidele’s unique voice brings it to
life?
Its caption gives you a peek
of what to expect as you watch and listen. Joy is a beautiful blend of soft
rock production and contemporary gospel birthed from a place of spontaneous worship
with friends. As the word implies, ‘Joy’ is a feeling of great pleasure and or happiness
but as Christians and children of God we believe joy is a feeling of good
pleasure and happiness that is dependent on who Jesus is rather than on who we
are or what is happening around us. Joy comes from the Holy Spirit, abiding in
God’s presence and from hope in His word which is the focus and inspiration
behind the song.
Tobi Walker
and the entire team make Ayaya one song you’re not satisfied with haven heard
until the fifth listen. It invites you to dance, sing and have a quiet Holy
Ghost part as you do. I love how the different elements in the song were succinctly
put together.
Ayaya is
a fusion of African and Contemporary gospel music born form a deep sense of
gratitude and thanksgiving to God. We worship God not only because of what we
can get but also because of what He’s done for us and who He is. Our desire is
that people are able to connect deeply with this song and it draws individuals
back to that place of worship and gratitude to their first love.
