The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu, are marking their 55th wedding anniversary today, September 8, 2022.
The octogenarian took to his social media pages to celebrate his wife. He revealed that out of all the men who admired his wife then, he was the poorest of them. However, she still chose him and God has changed their story today.
He wrote, “My darling Pastor Folu, the woman who has suffered with me. She stood by me when we had nothing.
“I was the poorest and the least known of all the men after her 55 years ago. But she left all those who were famous, well to do and she picked me.
“Thank God, God had made us a success and proven all the oppositions back then wrong. Here is to 55 years of double grace, peace, and double of heaven on earth.”
On her part, Pastor Folu said, “55 years with you my darling Pastor Adeboye has been filled with all I ever asked God for and even more. Thank you for showing that God can be trusted.”
Several persons celebrated the couple on their memorable day. Award-winning gospel singer, Sinach, commented, “Happy anniversary Papa and Mama.”
Timi Adigun wrote, “It is the 55 more years for me. We love you daddy and mummy. Thank you for showing us it is possible.”
Laoluroge said, “Happy wedding anniversary Daddy and Mummy. Thank you for modeling true love, mutual honour and respect. I pray that God keeps you two in love till the end of time.”
