The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has encouraged Christians to do extraordinary things if they want to achieve God’s purpose for their lives. He added that they should move out of their comfort zones.
He made this statement while preaching on the topic, ‘An excelling minister, a man of destiny’, at the ministers conference.
The preacher said that if individuals continue to stay in their comfort zone, they will not get to where God has ordained for them. He added that many persons do not like suffering and inconvenience which are a part of achieving God’s plan for our lives.
In his words, “You will not get to where God has ordained for you when you continue to remain in the comfort zone which is full of pleasure, and you don’t want any suffering, jolting and inconvenience, and everything from breakfast to dinner and assorted clothes are always at your beck and call, you will not get to where God has ordained for you.
“When Moses came of age, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. Moses refused the comfort of the palace, the luxury, prestige, isolation, and authority of being the Prince of Egypt.”
Furthermore, he said that God has given us a free will to decide what we want, unlike our earthly parents who will want to impose on us what we should do.
He continued, “You must know the path that leads to the ministry of excellence. God will not impose anything on you as our earthly parents and coaches do, so that we can succeed. He made us free moral agents, so in the final analysis, the choice is yours to make.”
Kumuyi also advised leaders to follow God’s direction and have a purpose-driven life for the good of society.
