Opeyemi Falegan, the brother to Helen Oritsejafor, the wife of the General Overseer of the Word of Life Bible Church, Delta State, has spoken up on the rumours that his sister has divorced her husband.
There have been several allegations of infidelity on the cleric’s wife and Falegan felt it was necessary that he clears the air. Papa Ayo, as the cleric is also called, was also a former National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
According to the rumours, Mrs Oritsejafor has also moved out of her matrimonial home. Falegan is also the ex-lover of popular Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday.
Falegan wrote on Instagram on Friday, “My sister is not divorced and will never be divorced. This claim is without evidence as some media outlets framed it.
“Before you share a story, kindly spend a moment evaluating the evidence. Attaching our family name (Falegan) to infidelity is not only disgusting but abhorrent and totally unacceptable.
“Falegan families are known for their strong moral principles. I support good journalism but will criticise stories that are poorly researched or downright misleading.
“Use your media literacy to discern and amplify truths that are backed up by good evidence. Kindly desist from further lies. Opeyemi David Falegan. (mama Helen Oritsejafor's blood brother) clearing the air.”
An Instagram user, @itz_finest_gabby commented, “One of the sweetest and most beautiful marriages ever. No be today their love dey pepper people for Warri sef. Also the biggest church in Warri, Delta State. This church has helped a lot of people and saved lives. Kudos to the Word of Life Bible Church.”
On her part, @zenabless wrote, “There is no smoke without fire. It is obvious their marriage is going through a serious crisis (painfully) even the husband, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor has removed her picture on the poster of the forthcoming crusade as one of the hosts, which is very unusual. I pray they fix their marriage.”
