Tope Alabi urges Nigerians to vote wisely in 2023

Gospel singer, Tope Alabi, has urged Nigerians on the need to vote wisely in forthcoming general elections in February 2023.  She also encouraged everyone to get their permanent voters card.

She made this statement during the week at an interview at a welfare programme and Christmas outreach tagged, “Comforting Widows hearts for Christmas” in Abule-Egba area of Lagos State, which was held during the week, Punch reports.

The programme was organised by Mardebra Comforters Foundation, a subsidiary of Tope Alabi Gospel Vibes Limited. The gospel singer also advised Christians to move closer to God.

Speaking at the occasion, Alabi said, “My message to Nigerian Christians and community is that we should vote wisely and pray to God very well and get close to God the more. We can see that the end time is here. We have several things happening but all we need is just God. 

"We should do good all the time. We should look for those who need help around us and render it. But most importantly, get your PVC and vote wisely and rightly. I believe that 2023 will be a glorious year for us in the name of Jesus.”

Also, the “E Gbe Ga” crooner talked about what motivated her to start the programme. She said, “What motivated me to do this thing is not only me. It is my husband and myself. What motivated us is that when you are close to God, you will know what you are supposed to do. When you observe your fellowship, you pray and then you will ask God every day, what do you want me to do? What would you have me do? That is one.

“Two, you should know that taking care of people is for your own good. It is not about those people alone. It is about you. It is about your life. When you know what God wants you to do, you will do it."
