The 18th edition of popular gospel music concert, ‘The Experience’, might have come and gone, but the participants are still reminscing the moments.
The programme was held on Friday night, December 8, at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, and it spanned into the early hours of Saturday morning.
Lead Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, was the convener of the event which was themed, “Jesus Our Way Maker.”
Some of the gospel artistes who performed at the programme included Nathaniel Bassey, Donnie McClurkin, Beejay Sax, Tope Alabi, Tim Godfrey, Onos Ariyo, Dunsin Oyekan, Naomi Raine, Sinach, Ada Ehi, among others.
Speaking after his performance, Nathaniel Bassey quoted Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV) on Instagram saying, “The spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
He added, “My name is Nathaniel Bassey and I am elected by grace.”
Onos Ariyo posted pictures and videos of herself at the event saying, “Mercy spoke for us again last night at ‘The Experience Lagos’. It is the words of the last slide for me.”
Reminscing her experience at the programme, Tope Alabi wrote, “#TE18 has come and gone, but here we are giving thanks to God for its success and God’s faithfulness. We appreciate Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin, and ‘The Experience Lagos’ for the privilege to be among those who will carry praise unto our way maker. You reward comes. Enjoy God, folks.”
Sinach described the night as beautiful, and she also appreciated Pastor Paul and Ifeanyi Adefarasin for the opportunity to perform at the event.
On his part, Travis Greene wrote, “It feels good to be back home. I never take these moments for granted! To be back for my seventh year is truly humbling. I’m honoured to have been a part of ‘The Experience’ once again this year.”
Ada Ehi said, “I am eternally grateful. Thank you for the opportunity, Pastor Paul and Adefarasin. What an experience!”
