In the spirit of the festive season, Tennessee Titans player, Will Levis, recently showed love to local children in his community by sharing Christmas gifts to them.
The rookie quarterback who is instrumental member of the NFL team (Tennessee Titans), went to a Nashville mall, and handled out $150 gift cards to children from the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee.
A video of Levis at the mall was posted by Titans reporter Jim Wyatt on Tuesday night on social media. In his post, he noted that the player’s action was meant to surprise the children, and he also signed autographs for them.
Wyatt added, “Each child received a $150 gift card, and Levis shopped with the kids one night after guiding the team’s comeback win in Miami.”
Speaking on his act, Levis said, “This is awesome. I knew I wanted to get out in the community and spread some holiday spirit. It’s great spending time with them.”
Also, he admitted that he and his teammates don’t have much free time because of the busy football season. Nevertheless, he had to take out time to ensure that the kids had a memorable Christmas.
He said, “Making people’s lives better, it just makes you feel better. It brings you joy, and when that happens, it just drives you to want to do that even more. I’m surprised their parents let them stay up to see the end of it (a football game by Titans and their opponents). A couple of them said they fell asleep.”
Levis got a call-up to the Titans team from the University of Kentucky, United States. Aside from having the spirit of generosity, he is also a man of faith and one of his favorite Bible verses is 2 Chronicles 15:7, which is on his X (formerly Twitter) bio.
The Bible portion reads: “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
