Michael Hodges, son of the founding pastor of Church of the Highlands, Alabama, United States, Chris Hodge has won $52,650 during an episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ which was held on December 7, 2023.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ is one of the longest-running game shows in the US. Michael, who solved a bonus round puzzle during the episode of the show before he won the money, is the vice president of spiritual development at Highlands College in Birmingham, Alabama.

Previously, he served as pastor at the Greystone campus of the Church of the Highlands. He is also the founder of GrowLeader, a platform that trains and equips church leaders; and a co-founder of the Association of Related Churches.

Announcing the news, his father took to Instagram saying, ‘My son Michael won the Wheel of Fortune tonight! Just in time for the legacy offering.” Replying to the post, Michael’s wife, Katie said, “Just trying to make an eternal impact.”

Church Leaders also recounted moments Katie and her husband went for the show and how excited Michael felt after he won the money.

Katie said, “Still can’t believe it! What a fun adventure! We went to Los Angeles back in October but couldn’t say why we were there, but we were actually there to film ‘Wheel of Fortune’.

“It was the longest day. Michael left at 6 am that Thursday, and there was still a chance he may not be selected to be on the show. He couldn’t have his phone all day, so even after Kristin Mitchell and I arrived at 11 am, we still didn’t know if he even made it on the show!

“After sitting in the studio audience through filming for 5 hours, he finally came on! It was so much to take in, and I remember thinking, How in the world did he solve those puzzles so fast! He does them pretty quickly at home, but doing them in person is a whole other ballgame! I was blown away!”
