Popular drama minister and the president of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has lent his voice on the rate at which the present generation criticize men of God.
The renowned Christian filmmaker, whose career spans over three decades in the industry, posted a screenshot of two Bible verses – Matthew 11:18-19 on his Instagram page, which read: “For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘he has a demon. The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors, and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
He captioned the Bible verse, “It is not new for a dissatisfied generation to speak against genuine men of God. No matter what they do, a dissatisfied generation will still speak against the servants of God.
“Therefore, if they did it to Jesus Christ, they would do it to His servants. A servant is not greater than his master. When the children of God and born again believers begin to talk down on genuine servants of God, they are endangering their eternal status, heaping up a huge judgment against themselves.
“The harvest is plenty, laborers are few, and you are discouraging the few laborers on the field. You are hurting the master and setting yourself up for condemnations and unpalatable judgment.”
Netizens react to Mike Bamiloye’s post
Some social media users have reacted to the filmmaker’s post. See some of them below:
@speedtouch_cleanings: “The tax collector gave total repentance, all what he had dubiously was given away and he followed Christ. He preached to sinner, not that he just sit with them. Most of us have sinners around us but we are ashamed of preaching the gospel.”
@falilatosasere: “Very true. There must be something to critique. But men of God should also walk in the spirit and their works will speak for them. Some of these men of God act more like men of men.”
@segunham: “Hmmm, servants of God must mura gidi gan and be strong in the Lord.”
@angelbassey: “May God continue to keep his servant strong.”
Mount Zion Films have produced several notable Christian movies over the years. Some of them are ‘Abejoye’, ‘Abattoir’, ‘Gbemi,’ ‘The Train’, ‘Agbara Nla’, among others.
