Popular gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan has remembered his late father Pastor G. Oyekan who died nine years ago. He described him as a soldier whom he wished was still alive with him.

“Pastor G. Oyekan! Oh, you sure shook the kingdom of hell. People in Kwara state can bear witness. One day, very soon, I'll tell the world the story! What a man, what a grace, what a soldier you were! Kai. This particular part of the song is to honour your Lord, whose you were and served with all your life, might, and soul. I wish you were here sha... We would have rocked this world for Christ together!”

@ilesanmig1 commented: “This brought good memories of back then when daddy Pastor Oyekan (Evangelical Baptism Church) and my dad Reverend George (Titobi Oluwa Gaa-Akanbi) were very close friends. I remember then they organised prayers together and shook the kingdom of hell in Kwara state.
“Everything was just like yesterday, a lot of God's generals rested in the Lord in March. March 13th made it 22 years when Reverend George (Baba Titobi Oluwa Gaa-Akanbi) rested in the Lord. I remember during my dad's burial in 2013, daddy Pastor Oyekan (Evangelical Baptism Church) was the one that preached. Looking back, all we will continue to sing is Ogo Ogo, Hallelujah si Baba. Didun ni iranti awọn Olododo. Continue to rest on Baba.”

His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever. Ps 112:2 Amen.”
