Samaritan’s Purse, a non-profit organisation led by American preacher Franklin Graham has offered to help victims of the storm that caused major disasters across some cities in the United States of America last weekend.
In a post on his Facebook page, Graham said, “There have been many storms and a lot of destruction over the weekend, with more to come. Parts of Nebraska, Iowa, and Oklahoma are among the locations that got hammered. Join me in praying for the families whose loved ones were killed and the many who have lost their homes.
“In Oklahoma, it is reported that an infant is among those killed. Tens of thousands are without power. So many lives have been turned upside down. Samaritan's Purse will be helping in several hard-hit communities.”
When the incident occurred during the weekend, Graham also made a post about it and he asked for prayers for those affected.
He shared pictures from the scene of the disaster and said, “Pray for all those affected by the 59 tornadoes and severe storms that left a trail of destruction across several states yesterday. Hundreds of homes were leveled and many more were damaged. Pray for these families and those who were injured.”
Several people noted that they were praying for the victims. See some of their comments below:
Nancy Ratcliff said: “My prayers will continually be lifted for heartaches with everyone affected.”
Lois Pickens: “I am praying for all families affected by the storms.”
Hilda Rogers Covey: “God bless your ministry for being onsite to help.”
Author Shirley Wallace Reaves: "Prayers for your people, Lord.”
