The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has reacted to the fire that gutted the headquarters of Christ Embassy on Sunday morning, June 23.

Reports indicate that the devastating fire ravaged the headquarters of the Church in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State.”

Obi said: “My thoughts and prayers are first and foremost with the founder of the Church, Revered Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the entire Church membership, and the community affected by this tragic incident.
“I urge the authorities to investigate the cause of the fire immediately and take the necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future. As a nation, we must come together to support those affected and rebuild what has been lost.”
While encouraging the church further, he noted that adversaries are part of our lives and individuals must stay united when they face it.
“We must all stand united in the face of adversity and work towards a safer and more compassionate society for all knowing that God is always with us even in our storms,” he said.
