The African Praise Experience (TAPE 2024) is being held at the House on the Rock Church, Lekki, Lagos. It began on Friday night and is expected to last up to the morning of Saturday, July 27.
It is an event aimed at praising God at the Rock Cathedral and has several gospel ministers in attendance. This edition brags about some notable names including Sinach, Eben, Mercy Chinwo, Moses Bliss, Beejay Sax, Ebuka Songs, Minister GUC, Frank Edwards, and Onos Ariyo, among others.
Presenter IK Osakioduwa is the host of the event and the convener is Pastor Adeolu Adefarasin. His wife and co-pastor of the church, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin, is also present.
Adefarasin took the word for the day and focused on the key code for living an exceptional life. One of his Bible texts was 1 Corinthians 2: 9 which says: “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
The church made a series of posts online as the programme was ongoing.
It wrote: “Where would you rather be? We are in God's presence serenading Him with the only food He eats - praises and worship. All you ever wanted is served at #TAPE2024 that's happening now. Join us physically or online.”
Also, the gospel singers took to their social media pages to invite their fans to the programme in different videos. Their fans also reacted to their posts. See some of the reactions on Frank Edwards’ page below:
@chidindu_ogazie: “Glory be to God that from tomorrow and beyond forever the earth is congested with the divine presence of our dear glorious God. Hallelujah.”
@julia.redimida: “I hope you all have a safe and fun-filled time. You are too far away, so I haven't had the opportunity to attend one of your concerts. Lord willing soon I will. God bless you.”
@melcuteofficial: “I just love what God is using you to do in this generation. May the Lord bless and reward you in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
