It was joyful news for Christians, especially members of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide as its Mountain Top Chorale joined 11, 000 other singers for the 2024 World Choir Games (WCG) in Auckland, New Zealand.
According to the WCG website, it is the largest choir competition and festival on Earth and the competitors for the 2024 edition are from 30 nations. The games celebrate the rich tapestry of choral music from around the world.
Speaking about the event, the General Overseer of the mega-church, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, stated that the competition was aimed at promoting harmony through songs. He also felt great that his choir was among the participants.
He posted pictures of the MFM choir on Facebook on Thursday, July 18, with the caption, “It’s fantastic to see the MFM Mountain Top Chorale representing Nigeria at the 2024 World Choir Games, showcasing Indigenous music and compositions by Dr. Daniel Olukoya.
“The World Choir Games, often dubbed the ‘Olympics of choral music,’ is a renowned international competition that celebrates the diversity of choral music and fosters global harmony through song.”
