Pastor Jerry Eze has celebrated his friend and gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, as he marked his 43rd birthday on August 28. In a lengthy post on Instagram, he described the Jesus Iye crooner as one of a kind.
He also stated the celebrant is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, quoting Proverbs 18:24 from the Bible. According to him, Nathaniel is loyal, supportive, and committed. He also prayed that God’s strength and power will be shown through him.
Eze, who is the convener of the online praying platform, New Seasons Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), posted a picture of Bassey and wrote on Instagram: “
“The man of too many friends [chosen indiscriminately] will be broken in pieces and come to ruin, But there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother. - Proverbs 18:24. For all the times of prayer, laughter and unfettered sincere fellowship, You are one of a kind. If loyalty, support and commitment was a person, it would be you.
“On this special day of yours, Psalms 71 verse 18b comes to mind, ‘Until I have shown thy Strength to this Generation and thy Power to Everyone that is yet come.
“May God’s strength and power be shown through you in dimensions that will rattle, startle, and leave a generation seeking after the Fullness of God in Jesus’ name!”
On his part, Bassey thanked Eze for his warm words. He also stated that his wish is for their relationship to be further strengthened. He added the pastor and Apostle Joshua Selman are dear to him.
In his words: “My dear brother! Thank you, sir. Our relationship goes deeper than our various ministries. Your love for God and childlike heart connects us. I never tire to say it, you are the real deal. You and Apostle Selman are so dear to me.”
