Mercy Chinwo, her husband Blessed, and Oyedepo |
Gospel singers
Mercy Chinwo and Dunsin Oyekan were among the notable personalities who
performed during the 70th birthday celebration of Bishop David
Oyedepo. They also took to social media to share what they thought about the
renowned cleric.
Mercy posted a video of her meeting with the celebrant alongside her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, and she captioned it, “Happy 70th birthday to a living legend, a father, mentor, and a great
leader of our time. Daddy, we are grateful to God for giving us such a
wonderful father and mentor like you. Your life and ministry have been a true
blessing and a light to so many.
“We are thankful for your spiritual guidance, your prayers, and fatherhood. May the Lord bless you richly, increase your anointing, and grant you strength, joy, and peace in abundance as you continue to fulfill His purpose. Have a wonderful and blessed day Daddy, we love, honour, and celebrate you.”
On his part, Dunsin Oyekan said, “What a man! Most of all, what a God of Oyedepo. We join the whole world to celebrate you Papa. Happy birthday, sir. Thank you for your sacrifice and obedience to God. The longer you live, the brighter you shine. Love you, Papa.”
Reactions to Mercy Chinwo’s video
@aim_pisces: “I love how your
husband stepped back and allowed you to shine. It’s not rocket science why some
women will give their lives for the men in their lives. Nothing sha beats a man
who lets you shine so brightly. You won and he won too. God bless you both.”
@reji_cakery: “This
is how we all will meet in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ laughing and
smiling all the way.”
@jessicatriumph: “Why
was this video so satisfying and pleasant to watch. This is the true depiction
of a man's gift makes a way for him and brings him before kings & not
mean/mere men. Happy birthday to the father of fathers.”
@elshamel_foods:
“Nothing anyone can tell me. It pays to serve the Lord honestly and diligently.”
@daddysgirlalii: “So heartwarming. Happy birthday sir, God
will continue to increase your impact and grace in good health and happiness.”
