“Renowned purveyor of faith”: Godman Akinlabi, others hail Oyedepo at 70

Good wishes have continued to pour in for the president of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, who celebrated his 70^th birthday on September 27, 2024.

Christianity Nigeria takes a look at what some senior pastors including Godman Akinlabi of The Elevation Church, Kingsley Okonkwo of David's Christian Centre, and Akinyemi Davids of Global Impact Church have to say about the septuagenarian.

Akinlabi said, “I count it a great privilege to be mentored by Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo both in issues of life and in matters of ministry. As a young man and budding minister, I would collect the tapes and books of Bishop, digest them, and apply them to many of the opportunities and challenges that I was confronted with.

Also, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo posted: “This is the man that not only taught me faith but showed me faith. Not only showed me but introduced and inducted me into the family and heritage of faith. I won’t be where I am today without his teachings and demonstration of faith. Happy 70th birthday, Papa.”

In addition, Pastor Akinyemi Davids said: “Happy 70th birthday to our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo.
